Talia was born under the official name Coppola, Talia Rose on April 25th, 1946. Known to her close friends as Tally, she has been a credited actor since the 1972 film The Godfather.

Talia Shire has yet to establish a position as a bankable star. She has starred in two films including the 2009 comedy movie The Deported as the character Dina and the 1979 horror film Prophecy playing Maggie.

Talia has made such a successful career in supporting roles, that it actually surpasses most leading actor's careers. She has appeared in fourteen films including: the 2015 comedy film Pizza with Bullets as the character Mary Perspirino, the 2014 crime movie Minkow playing Carole Minkow and the 2011 comedy release The Return of Joe Rich cast as Gloria Neiderman.

Her most commercially successful project to date has been the 1972 crime film The Godfather, which brought in $135,000,000 at the box office.

In 1986 Talia Shire produced her first movie, the family film Hyper Sapien: People from Another Star.

Talia has stayed out of the media limelight, having been captured in more than one pictorials.

As an actor Talia Shire has been recognized by the Academy of Motion Pictures Art and Sciences on two occasions. Her first nomination was for Best Actress In A Supporting Role for her portrayal of Connie Corleone in the 1974 film The Godfather Part II. Talia Shire was also nominated for Best Actress In A Leading Role for her role as Adrian in the 1976 movie Rocky .
