Sylvester was born under the official name Stallone, Sylvester Gardenzio on July 6th, 1946. Known to his close friends as Sly, he has been a credited actor since the 1978 film F.I.S.T.

Sylvester Stallone is among a small handful of elite super star actors with global appeal. He has starred in thirty-one films including the 2013 action film Escape Plan as the character Ray Breslin, the 2012 action movie Bullet to the Head playing James Bonomo and the 2012 action release The Expendables 2 cast as Barney Ross.
