Scoot was born under the official name Mcnairy, John Marcus on November 11th, 1977. Known to his close friends as Scooter, he has been a credited actor since the 2008 film Wednesday Again.

Scoot is a recognizable supporting cast member who's acting range makes him the top choice for a variety of roles. He has appeared in seven films including: the 2014 action film Non-Stop as the character Tom Bowen, the 2014 crime movie The Rover playing Henry and the 2013 biography release 12 Years a Slave cast as Brown.

His most commercially successful project to date has been the 2012 drama film Argo, which brought in $136,000,000 at the box office.

In 2013 Scoot McNairy produced his first movie, the comedy film Straight A's.

Scoot has stayed out of the media limelight, having been and captured in more than one pictorials and interviewed in over one publications.
