Rosie was born under the official name Perez, Rosa Maria on September 6th, 1964. She has been a credited actor since the 1999 film The 24 Hour Woman.

To date, Rosie has only starred in the 1999 comedy movie The 24 Hour Woman. Rosie Perez has yet to establish a position as a bankable star.

Rosie is a recognizable supporting cast member who's acting range makes her the top choice for a variety of roles. She has appeared in eight films including: the 2014 comedy film Fugly! as the character Zowie, the 2013 crime movie The Counselor playing Ruth and the 2010 comedy release Pete Smalls Is Dead cast as Julia.

Her most commercially successful project to date has been the 2008 action film Pineapple Express, which brought in $87,000,000 at the box office.

In 1999 Rosie Perez produced her first movie, the comedy film The 24 Hour Woman.

Rosie is a fan favorite, having been featured on the cover of at least two magazines, captured in more than ten pictorials, interviewed in over three publications and featured in six magazine articles.

As an actor Rosie Perez has been recognized by the Academy of Motion Pictures Art and Sciences on one occasion. She was nominated for the Oscar for Best Actress In A Supporting Role for her role as Carla Rodrigo in the 1993 movie Fearless.
