Murphy, Peter Weller as RoboCop and Nancy Allen as Officer Anne Lewis. RoboCop was produced for $13,000,000. Since it's release it has grossed over $53,000,000 in ticket sales and $24,000,000 in rental and home sales.

RoboCop was recognized by the Academy of Motion Pictures Art and Sciences in three categories. It won the Oscar for special achievement award (sound effects editing) . It was also an Oscar nominee for film editing and sound.
