Robert was born under the official name Foster, Robert on July 13th, 1941. Known to his close friends as Bob, he has been a credited actor since the 1967 film Reflections in a Golden Eye.

To date, Robert has only starred in the 1980 horror movie Alligator. Robert Forster has yet to establish a position as a bankable star.

Robert has made such a successful career in supporting roles, that it actually surpasses most leading actor's careers. He has appeared in twenty-four films including: the 2015 action film Bus Driver as the character General Sorbin, the 2014 sci-fi movie Autómata playing Robert Bold and the 2011 comedy release Girl Walks Into a Bar cast as Dodge.

His most commercially successful project to date has been the 2000 comedy film Me, Myself & Irene, which brought in $91,000,000 at the box office.

Robert has garnered moderate media attention, having been featured on the cover of at least one magazines, captured in more than one pictorials, interviewed in over two publications and featured in five magazine articles.

As an actor Robert Forster has been recognized by the Academy of Motion Pictures Art and Sciences on one occasion. He was nominated for the Oscar for Best Actor In A Supporting Role for his role as Max Cherry in the 1997 movie Jackie Brown.
