Ricky was born under the official name Gervais, Ricky Dene on June 25th, 1961. He has been a credited actor since the 2005 film Valiant.

Ricky Gervais has yet to establish a position as a bankable star. He has starred in two films including the 2014 adventure movie Muppets Most Wanted as the character Dominic Badguy and the 2009 comedy film The Invention of Lying playing Mark Bellison.

Ricky is a recognizable supporting cast member who's acting range makes him the top choice for a variety of roles. He has appeared in six films including: the 2013 adventure film Escape from Planet Earth as the character Mr. James Bing, the 2011 action movie Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D playing Argonaut and the 2009 action release Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian cast as Dr. McPhee.

His most commercially successful project to date has been the 2006 action film Night at the Museum, which brought in $251,000,000 at the box office.

Ricky Gervais has directed on numerous occassions including: The Invention of Lying (2009), Life on the Road (2015) and Special Correspondents (2015). In 2009 Ricky Gervais produced his first movie, the comedy film The Invention of Lying. Since then he went on to produce the comedy film Life on the Road in 2015.

Ricky is a cultural icon, having been featured on the cover of at least six magazines, captured in more than one pictorials, interviewed in over twenty publications and featured in twenty-three magazine articles.
