Reds is a biography film released in 1981. The film stars Warren Beatty as John Reed, Diane Keaton as Louise Bryant and Edward Herrmann as Max Eastman. Reds was produced for $35,000,000. Since it's release it has grossed over $32,000,000 in ticket sales and $21,000,000 in rental and home sales.

Reds was recognized by the Academy of Motion Pictures Art and Sciences in eight categories. It won the Oscar for cinematography and directing. It was also an Oscar nominee for art direction, costume design, film editing, best picture, sound and writing (screenplay written directly for the screen).
