Michael was born under the official name Gambon, Michael John on October 19th, 1940. He has been a credited actor since the 1994 film Squanto: A Warrior's Tale.

Michael Gambon has yet to establish a position as a bankable star. He has starred in two films including the 2004 comedy movie Being Julia as the character Jimmie Langton and the 2003 documentary film Deep Blue playing Narrator.
