L.Q. was born under the official name Jr., Justice Ellis McQueen on August 19th, 1927. He has been a credited actor since the 1965 film Major Dundee.

L.Q. is a recognizable supporting cast member who's acting range makes him the top choice for a variety of roles. He has appeared in nine films including: the 2006 comedy film A Prairie Home Companion as the character Chuck Akers, the 2001 action movie Route 666 playing Sheriff Bob Conaway and the 1998 action release The Patriot cast as Frank.

His most commercially successful project to date has been the 1995 biography film Casino, which brought in $42,000,000 at the box office.

L.Q. has stayed out of the media limelight, having been interviewed in over two publications.
