Leonard was born under the official name Nimoy, Leonard Simon on March 26th, 1931. He has been a credited actor since the 1978 film Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

To date, Leonard has only starred in the 2012 adventure movie Zambezia. Leonard Nimoy has yet to establish a position as a bankable star.

Leonard is a recognizable supporting cast member who's acting range makes him the top choice for a variety of roles. He has appeared in nine films including: the 2009 action film Star Trek as the character Spock Prime, the 2001 adventure movie Atlantis: The Lost Empire playing King Kashekim Nedakh and the 1991 action release Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country cast as Spock.
