Lauren was born under the official name Perske, Betty Joan on September 16th, 1924. She died on August 12th, 2014 in New York City, New York, USA (stroke). Known to her close friends as The Look, she has been a credited actor since the 1955 film Blood Alley.

Lauren has made such a successful career in supporting roles, that it actually surpasses most leading actor's careers. She has appeared in ten films including: the 2010 comedy film Wide Blue Yonder as the character May, the 2007 crime movie The Walker playing Natalie Van Miter and the 2005 drama release Manderlay cast as Mam.

Lauren Bacall has earned salaries up to $50,000 for her acting. Her most commercially successful project to date has been the 1990 thriller film Misery, which brought in $61,000,000 at the box office.
