Keith was born under the official name Williams, Keith David on June 4th, 1956. He has been a credited actor since the 1982 film The Thing.

Keith David has yet to establish a position as a bankable star. He has starred in two films including the 2010 comedy movie Death at a Funeral as the character Reverend Davis and the 1986 drama film Platoon playing King.

Keith has made such a successful career in supporting roles, that it actually surpasses most leading actor's careers. He has appeared in forty-three films including: the 2016 action film Untitled Livi Zheng Project as the character Captain Duke, the 2013 action movie Sons of Liberty playing Nathan Reynolds and the 2013 adventure release Free Birds cast as Chief Broadbeak.

His most commercially successful project to date has been the 2005 action film Mr. & Mrs. Smith, which brought in $186,000,000 at the box office.
