Joan was born on August 20th, 1956. She has been a credited actor since the 1986 film Manhunter.

To date, Joan has only starred in the 2005 comedy movie The Upside of Anger. Joan Allen has yet to establish a position as a bankable star.

Joan has made such a successful career in supporting roles, that it actually surpasses most leading actor's careers. She has appeared in fifteen films including: the 2009 drama film Hachi: A Dog's Tale as the character Cate Wilson, the 2008 action movie Death Race playing Hennessey and the 2007 action release The Bourne Ultimatum cast as Pam Landy.
