Jerry was born under the official name Orbach, Jerome Bernard on October 20th, 1935. He died on December 28th, 2004 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA (prostate cancer). He has been a credited actor since the 1981 film Prince of the City.

Jerry has made such a successful career in supporting roles, that it actually surpasses most leading actor's careers. He has appeared in eleven films including: the 2000 action film Prince of Central Park as the character Businessman, the 1992 action movie Universal Soldier playing Dr. Christopher Gregor and the 1991 action release Out for Justice cast as Capt. Ronnie Donziger.

His most commercially successful project to date has been the 1987 drama film Dirty Dancing, which brought in $64,000,000 at the box office.
