James was born under the official name Woods, James Howard on April 18th, 1947. Known to his close friends as Jimmy, he has been a credited actor since the 1977 film The Choirboys.

James Woods is among a small handful of elite super star actors with global appeal. He has starred in ten films including the 2003 drama film Northfork as the character Walter O'Brien, the 2001 drama movie Race to Space playing Dr. Wilhelm von Huber and the 1999 drama release The Virgin Suicides cast as Ronald Lisbon.
