Iggy was born under the official name Jr., James Newell Osterberg on April 21st, 1947. Known to his close friends as The Iguana, he has been a credited actor since the 1990 film Hardware.

Iggy is a recognizable supporting cast member who's acting range makes him the top choice for a variety of roles. He has appeared in six films including: the 2000 adventure film Snow Day as the character Mr. Zellweger, the 1996 action movie The Crow: City of Angels playing Curve and the 1995 drama release Dead Man cast as Salvatore 'Sally' Jenko.

His most commercially successful project to date has been the 2000 adventure film Snow Day, which brought in $60,000,000 at the box office.

Iggy is a cultural icon, having been featured on the cover of at least eight magazines, captured in more than three pictorials, interviewed in over eleven publications and featured in fourteen magazine articles. He has been the subject of at least one book.
