Harvey was born on May 13th, 1939. He has been a credited actor since the 1974 film Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore.

Harvey Keitel is among a small handful of elite super star actors with global appeal. He has starred in eleven films including the 2006 crime film A Crime as the character Roger Culkin, the 2005 comedy movie The Shadow Dancer playing Weldon and the 1998 biography release Finding Graceland cast as Elvis.

Harvey has made such a successful career in supporting roles, that it actually surpasses most leading actor's careers. He has appeared in thirty-two films including: the 2015 drama film Chosen as the character Sonson, the 2009 action movie Wrong Turn at Tahoe playing Nino and the 2007 action release National Treasure: Book of Secrets cast as Sadusky.

In 1992 Harvey Keitel produced his first movie, the crime film Reservoir Dogs. Since then he went on to produce three movies including: Blue in the Face (1995) and The Grey Zone (2001) .
