Harold was born under the official name Goldstein, Harold Vernon on December 10th, 1923. He died on September 11th, 2010 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA (prostate cancer). He has been a credited actor since the 1965 film Inside Daisy Clover.

Harold was a recognizable supporting cast member who's acting range makes him the top choice for a variety of roles. He has appeared in eight films including: the 2005 drama film English as a Second Language as the character Wayne, the 2003 comedy movie Freaky Friday playing Grandpa and the 2002 comedy release The Master of Disguise cast as Grandfather Disguisey.

His most commercially successful project to date has been the 1973 comedy film The Sting, which brought in $160,000,000 at the box office.
