Escape from the Planet of the Apes is a action film released in 1971. Escape from the Planet of the Apes was released as a sequel to the 1970 film Beneath the Planet of the Apes. It's the predecessor to the 1973 film Battle for the Planet of the Apes. The film stars Roddy McDowall as Cornelius, Kim Hunter as Zira and Bradford Dillman as Dr. Lewis Dixon. Escape from the Planet of the Apes was produced for $3,000,000. Since it's release it has grossed over $12,000,000 in ticket sales and $6,000,000 in rental and home sales.
