D.B. was born under the official name Sweeney, Daniel Bernard on November 14th, 1961. He has been a credited actor since the 1988 film Eight Men Out.

D.B. Sweeney is a dependable leading actor. He has starred in four films including the 2014 action film Free Fall as the character Frank, the 2013 drama movie Underdogs playing Vince DeAntonio and the 2008 action release Heatstroke cast as Captain Steve O'Bannon.

D.B. has made such a successful career in supporting roles, that it actually surpasses most leading actor's careers. He has appeared in eleven films including: the 2012 drama film Atlas Shrugged II: The Strike as the character John Galt, the 2012 action movie Taken 2 playing Bernie and the 2008 action release Miracle at St. Anna cast as Colonel Driscoll.

His most commercially successful project to date has been the 2012 action film Taken 2, which brought in $140,000,000 at the box office.

Beyond acting, D.B. Sweeney was the director of the 2006 movie comedy Two Tickets to Paradise. In 2006 D.B. Sweeney produced his first movie, the comedy film Two Tickets to Paradise.
