Christopher was born under the official name Walken, Ronald on March 31st, 1943. Known to his close friends as Chris, he has been a credited actor since the 1977 film Annie Hall.

Christopher Walken is a bankable leading actor on the silver screen. He has starred in six films including the 2013 action film The Power of Few as the character Doke, the 2009 comedy movie The Maiden Heist playing Roger Barlow and the 1995 action release The Prophecy cast as Gabriel.

Christopher has made such a successful career in supporting roles, that it actually surpasses most leading actor's careers. He has appeared in thirty-nine films including: the 2014 biography film Jersey Boys as the character Gyp DeCarlo, the 2012 comedy movie Seven Psychopaths playing Hans and the 2011 comedy release Dark Horse cast as Jackie.

His most commercially successful project to date has been the 2005 comedy film Wedding Crashers, which brought in $209,000,000 at the box office.

His first Oscar was for Best Actor In A Supporting Role for his portrayal of Nick in the 1978 film The Deer Hunter. Christopher Walken was also nominated for Best Actor In A Supporting Role for his role as Frank Abagnale in the 2002 movie Catch Me If You Can .
