Charlton was born under the official name Carter, John Charles on October 4th, 1923. He died on April 5th, 2008 in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA (pneumonia). Known to his close friends as Chuck, he has been a credited actor since the 1952 film The Greatest Show on Earth.

Charlton Heston was among a small handful of elite super star actors with global appeal. He has starred in fourteen films including the 1974 action film Airport 1975 as the character Alan Murdock, the 1974 action movie Earthquake playing Graff and the 1972 action release Skyjacked cast as Capt. Henry 'Hank' O'Hara.

Charlton was a recognizable supporting cast member who's acting range makes him the top choice for a variety of roles. He has appeared in nine films including: the 2001 action film The Order as the character Prof. Walter Finley, the 1996 adventure movie Alaska playing Perry and the 1994 horror release In the Mouth of Madness cast as Jackson Harglow.

Charlton Heston has earned salaries up to $250,000 for his acting and also participates in back end. His most commercially successful project to date has been the 1994 action film True Lies, which brought in $146,000,000 at the box office.

Beyond acting, Charlton Heston was the director of the 1972 movie drama Antony and Cleopatra.
