Armand was born under the official name Jr., Armand Anthony Assante on October 4th, 1949. He has been a credited actor since the 1979 film Prophecy.

Armand Assante is a bankable leading actor on the silver screen. He has starred in nine films including the 2014 action film The Whole World at Our Feet as the character Mussa, the 2014 action movie Hunting the Phantom playing Charles Ingrim and the 2007 comedy release California Dreamin' (Nesfarsit) cast as Captain Doug Jones - the American military officer in command.

Armand has made such a successful career in supporting roles, that it actually surpasses most leading actor's careers. He has appeared in twenty-one films including: the 2015 thriller film 120/80: Stressed to Kill as the character Paul Jordan, the 2014 crime movie Minkow playing Jerry Saxon and the 2014 adventure release Montevideo, vidimo se! cast as Hotchkins.
