Andy was born under the official name Menéndez, Andrés Arturo García on April 12th, 1956. He has been a credited actor since the 1983 film Blue Skies Again.

Andy Garcia is among a small handful of elite super star actors with global appeal. He has starred in twelve films including the 2013 comedy film At Middleton as the character George Hartman, the 2009 comedy movie City Island playing Vince Rizzo and the 2005 drama release The Lazarus Child cast as Jack Heywood.

Andy has made such a successful career in supporting roles, that it actually surpasses most leading actor's careers. He has appeared in twenty-one films including: the 2015 film Headlock as the character Gerald Hotchkiss, the 2014 comedy movie Let's Be Cops playing Brolin and the 2013 action release Open Road cast as Chuck.

His most commercially successful project to date has been the 2004 crime film Ocean's Twelve, which brought in $126,000,000 at the box office.

Beyond acting, Andy Garcia was the director of the 2005 movie drama The Lost City. In 1999 Andy Garcia produced his first movie, the comedy film Just the Ticket. Since then he went on to produce seven movies including: The Unsaid (2001) and The Man from Elysian Fields (2001) among others .

Andy is a fan favorite, having been featured on the cover of at least six magazines, captured in more than one pictorials, interviewed in over four publications and featured in nine magazine articles.

As an actor Andy Garcia has been recognized by the Academy of Motion Pictures Art and Sciences on one occasion. He was nominated for the Oscar for Best Actor In A Supporting Role for his role as Vincent Mancini in the 1990 movie The Godfather, Part III.
